Building inspectors only provide limited information regarding roof problems. Most only do a spot inspection from ground. Urban Roofing & Consulting has a proven industry leading reputation on providing educated, accurate diagnoses. Having provided roof inspections across Canada, there isn’t a condition we haven’t seen. Using the latest testing equipment and imagery, we are able to evaluate the current condition of the roof and possible problems to come.
Our services offered:
Thermal imagery – All objects emit infrared energy (heat) as a function of their temperature. The infrared energy emitted by an object is known as its heat signature. In general, the hotter an object is, the more radiation it emits. A thermal imager is essentially a heat sensor that is capable of detecting tiny differences in temperature. The device collects the infrared radiation from objects in the scene and creates an electronic image based on information about the temperature differences. Because objects are rarely precisely the same temperature as other objects around them, a thermal camera can detect them and they will appear as distinct in a thermal image.
Moisture readings – Moisture meters are becoming ubiquitous in their use on building sites by building inspectors, supervisors, installers of flooring finishes, and other building specialists in their forensic work. The point of their use on construction sites is to enable their users to identify and avoid excessive built-in moisture or to determine why a moisture problem has developed. When things go badly and building scientists are called in to investigate failures moisture meters are essential tools to assist in the early stages of an investigation.
Urban Roofing & Consulting can be called for any of these services. Each service includes a consultation of the results and will provide recommendations and budgets if requested.
